Yellow, Red, and Gold

Megan Bee: acoustic guitar, vocals
John Borchard: dobro
Terry Douds: electric bass
Bernie Nau: harmonium

I’m lying in my bed the room is getting cold
The sugar maple leaves are turning yellow, red, and gold outside my window
I can hear the wind blow

And woah is me, I need to walk away from this place

Hang on tight the moon is bright and the crops are in a row
and if we work all thru the night we’ll harvest everything we’ve grown
for so long the days are shorter and the nights are not so far away from
Taking the days over and when it’s over we just can’t stay her anymore

And woah is me, I need to walk away from this place

I’m lying in my bed the room is getting colder
The sugar maple leaves, their color keeps getting bolder till it all turns brown
Till it all falls down
Till it all falls down
Till it all falls down

yellow, red, and gold
