3000 miles out

Greetings from the Canyon Tour!

Saturday I'll be doing a live-stream radio interview on John Talk Radio at 6PM eastern time AND Tuesday I'll be playing in Newport Beach at The Blue Beet at 6PM western time.  Tonight I'll be playing around a campfire with my friends at The Ranch Party.

17 days and 3000 miles on the road and all is well.  I've had some time to reconnect with some friends across the country and play some shows ranging from intimate house concerts to crowded breweries to quiet campfires.  It all started in Chicago...

Playing this funky little venue with Joe Stevens...

Then there was Colorado to New Mexico where it rained fairly steady for a week.  In between shows I was checking out rocks, mountains, and canyons...

Camel Rock

The Rio Grande.  I walked down to the river to Manby Hot Spring where part of Easy Rider was filmed.  I spent part of the time soaking and part of the time wondering if my van would make it back up the muddy road I drove in on! (I made it)

Hot pools on the river.

Bridge over Rio Grande. Taos, NM

Big Horn Sheep.

Red Door Brewing in Albuquerque, NM

Rainy day sunrise in New Mexico.

Ship Rock coming right out of the ground.

The Grand Canyon.

It's hard to take in the vastness of the Grand Canyon.  I camped here for a couple nights.  I hiked about 8 miles along the rim and 2 miles down into the canyon, which is barely skimming the surface of this place.

Camping on public land in the Mojave.  There are so many wide open free public spaces in the west to camp.

Now I'm in California at The Ranch Party with lots of friends, musicians, and new people to meet.  It's nice to be parked for the weekend.  I hope you are all doing well out there!

Peace, Love, & Canyons.
